Love (and not in a cheesy way!)
My landlord and landlady came visiting this morning to say good bye before I move. They are the sweetest old couple. Apparently he went to USC and she to UCLA and come the annual big game, they do not talk to each other for the day. She grew up in the house that occupied the plot where the 9 apartment building I live in is located. He grew up seven blocks over and they met at the public library when he was doing some graduate work at USC. They have been married 64 years. And he claims that he still can't read her handwriting. Awww!

Hey,
Good luck with the move!
Thanks so much Amardeep!
That's a sweet story. The USC-UCLA is taken pretty seriously by old-timer Angelenos, and I've actually seen articles in the USC alumni magazine asking undergrads how they feel about dating someone from the "other" school. It's all good fun, and helps sell a lot of tickets for the big game.
Gosh married for 64 years sounds almost blasphemous, don't you think babe? First, with our kind of lifestyle, thankfully we won't survive that long. And secondly, don't think we'll ever find partners to last that long in wedlock!! ;-)Khali tui-i bujhbi amar moner kotha!!
So where are you moving to? I guess i joined the blog kinda late, so fill me in. BTW obvoiusly Bruins dont like dating Trojans, cuz UCLA simply rocks and you should never date below you :)
If only the Bruins were less delusional, they could have done something about the slow slide downwards in every aspect (not just football, where we kick their ass fair and square).
Uh oh - I shall stay out of the conversation and point out politely that Duke sucks.. LOL
Being married for 64 years could be fun.
Being ALIVE for 64 years and then some - now that would probably suck big time.
J.A.P.
Neela!!!! Yes indeedy its me.
Will mail!
And of course you have to read blogs at 1 A.M - the only alternative is to watch infomercials!
