Buzzing in my ears

Boredom, ennui and so on and so forth. Essentially life feels grey, like the unending cloud-filled grey that the bay area sky is these days. Blah.

Exciting news - well none. I have been actively avoiding human contact or any kind of social activity and taking perverse delight in my "victimhood".

No more though: have taken matters into my own hands (actually Cece's hands but thats nit-picking) and I am getting a haircut tonight. And as for tomorrow, well tomorrow is the first of my intermediate Thai cooking classes. Thank God for Panang curry!

Thai curry? If you can try curry pata instead of lemon grass, I've posted (gasp!) a recipe.

That's some coincidence! I feel the same way. There are so many emails I need to write, but I choose to write blog comments instead, because they come in small doses.

Yes, food is a welcome relief. I made some Indonesian style Shrimp in Chilli Sauce (Sambal Goreng Udang). Yummy!

ah, a haircut!

remember that fortune telling lady who ran a parlour?

i havn't had the time to go to n.a. for ages.

if we indians go gaga over thai, shouldn't they rave over biriyani or luchi-kashaa mangsho?

i hope some enterprising thing opens a 6 ballygunge place kind of a thing in Bangkok.

Priya, the world is upside down anyway, na?? Hmmm - taratari chole aaye ;)

JAP-d, have checked out your recipe and am suitably awed!

Swati! Yeah - I hope you are cheered up a bit now? I am feeling just a teeny weeny bit better after the Mee Krob and the Crispy Whole-fried Fish with Chilli-Tamarind sauce. Ahh life was good at that dinner.

Hey Tartrazina thanks for dropping by! The hair-cut went fine. maybe next month I'll get my highlights done again!

Bulididi! Yes I remember - Anjana Ghosh right? His son used to go to Math tuition with me and can be the subject of a blog post or two all by himself!
What news of your darling daughter?
Bangkok-er aage they are opening branches in Bangalore which I guess is pretty much the right way to go!! I believe its horribly overpriced though - Priya should post on that maybe!
