A no-food post.

Miscellaneous learnings from a Friday night:
1. You have to be careful who (or what) you look at in a dark (think pitch-black) cavernous bar with a name that sounds seedy, even though you are the only other woman in a bar on Castro Street!
2. Gay men cruise, straight people eyefuck*.
3. There is a reason women wear skimpy clothing to clubs with overcrowded dance floors and good music - its bloody hot after the third drink!
4. The seedier the club the cheaper and stronger the drink.
5. Cover charge to get into the club $2,
Margarita with no salt $5,
Taking a shortcut (giggling and being dragged along) through the men's loo - priceless!
6. Being a fag hag is FUN!

* Though my friend M insists its all just eyefucking really. I feel so proud to have introduced the word to him!

Most enlightening indeed. And I always think stuff like this makes one learn and imbibe more than anything else can ever do.
And point no. 4 is so true!

I don't know how it is in SF, but given the sort of almost there itty bitty numbers girls in LA wear clubbing, it's just too bloody hot here :)

Hiya Vijayeta - so true so true. Did I mention that there were a lot of shirts coming off of the hot men too ;) Too bad they were pretty much all gay. Sigh.

Swati - SF is more conservatively dressed than LA anyday! Shotyi - LA party-goers der dekhle mone hoy deshe jamakaporer obhab hoyechhe!!

Priya hon, refer the first paragraph above :( So many men - all so unavailable. Sigh. But eye-candy for sure! Remind me to tell you about 'Manscaping' some day!

I walked past a few lesbian bars on my day out in Amsterdam. Didnt have the b**ls to get in though...wish I had some adventurous company.

It is good to see that you have finally made a non food post. Enjoy!

yes, gay men are nice and empathetic creatures and a visual treat to boot.

good that you provided links. enriched my vocabulary.

don't fat people dance? are they brave enough to shake their rolls of adipose in the open?

why were you in that loo? what's priceless?
are you enamoured of urinals?
will you keep a gold one in your drawing room when you are rich/ anant garde?

the mind boggleth at the possibilities.

Bojju - bhelcome bhelcome - aro bokhe jabo - no worries...

R :) well like they say - lojja ghrina bhoy - tin thakte noy!

Bulididi! Well - the loo was kinda in the middle with two doors on two sides (both open wide by the way) and you could cut through to get from the dancefloor towards the exit. Which is what we did. And priceless - the expressions on the faces of guys who turned around to stare!
Oh of course the fat people dance too - and the rolls of fat are very much part of the display!!

Noo, fruitfairy's so much cuter! Also cheesier, but who cares. And this is rather...erm, (sexual)orientarist? but I always rather wanted the much-advertised perfect gay friend. Don't ask why, dunno.

Hola Rimi! I don't know if it is orientarist or not - but having a friend like M should be on every girl's list of things to wish for!!
