Keys of the kingdom!

I finished this evening going through the contents of the huge recycling bins next to the mailboxes in my building. My car keys and remote were obviously at the very bottom of the pile of papers - mostly junk mail people throw away. Sigh.
Don't ask me how they got there - I spent the day thinking they were irretrievably lost. Oh well.

Oh, you're luck it was a recycling bin. Once Em threw my friend Beck's car keys accidentally into the trash can at Panda Express.

Given that Em is a germophobe, I give him immense credit for rescuing the keys from the trash can (using a plastic glove the Panda staff gave him)!

It was a surreal night, we had set out to have a meal in a fancy Persian restaurant, lost our way, and finally ended up in Panda Express when this happened.

Swati, you bet I was glad it was only the recycling bin. That was the only reason I suggested to Ma that I just might have dropped the keys there. And of course she proceeded to bully me to go down and look through that er bin. Complete with curious onlookers and unsolicited advice. I think I'd much rather they had stayed lost. Ah well... soon she won't be around (as in she goes back tomorrow - what did you think??) to tell me how best to live my life. And then my keys will stay lost I suppose.

Bulididi, Ma is still here. She is leaving tomorrow morning and spends a couple of days with didibhai on the way back and finally lands up in Cal on the 10th. I shall land exactly a week later - so see you then - and dada and Sound and kiddos will also be there. So be there or be square!

gati ere koy 'mummy effect" - buzhla?
